Direct Ecology

Beccy is the company director and established Direct Ecology in 2008. She has worked for 15 years in the ecological consultancy sector, during which time she has gained a wealth of experience and expertise working on a wide variety of projects and species. She has a degree in Biological Sciences from Oxford University, and an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Stirling. Her specialisms are with protected species and birds. Beccy has led training workshops for clients on protected mammal species survey and mitigation, and has held or been an agent on numerous European Protected Species licences. She is an experienced licensed bat surveyor having held a licence for over 10 years, and undertakes contract bat work for Scottish Natural Heritage. Beccy also holds great crested newt, freshwater pearl mussel and badger development licences. She is a qualified tree-climber.
