I was driven to form our Health & Safety and Risk Management division having seen the futility and variety of work place accidents and their negative impact they had on everyone involved. I'd become acutely aware of two consistent factors - that the Health & Safety Executive is always wise after the event and, if a prosecution follows, the Courts ruthlessly enforce this wisdom, sometimes against individual directors and officers. I decided, therefore, that my Insurance customers should have the opportunity to be wise before the event and I created the Health & Safety division in 2000 which is today known as Sigerson Associates.
By helping clients to minimise their exposure to risks, they reduce the threat of prosecution, litigation or tribunal, and the frequency of claims, which in turn keeps costs and premiums down and allows the insurance division to secure competitive and preferential quotations.
